Full professor with tenure at the Politecnico di Milano. He teaches the
course "Operations and supply chain management" at the bachelor degree and the
course "Supply Chain Management" at the master of science degree. He also
teaches Supply Chain Management both in the MBA and Executive MBA at MIP. In the past he's
been researcher and associate professor at the Politecnico di Milano and was appointed to
teach at Brescia University and Bocconi University.
Hes appointed as visiting professor at Tongji University in Shanghai and in Wuhan
School of Economics & Management, Wuhan (PRC).
He's Associate Dean and member of the management board of MIP with the responsibility of
the Business Area "Executive MBA". At MIP he's also in charge of the Faculty
Development and Management and was the former Director of the International MBA
(particularly he's been responsible of the launch and management of the 1st edition of the
international program).
He is a Member of the teachers council of the PhD programs in "Management
engineering" where teaches " Supply Chain Strategy, Design and Management".
He has been Secretary of the board of professors of the bachelor and master courses in
Mechanical Engineering till march 2006.
His research topics mainly are: Manufacturing strategies, Innovative models for industrial
production management, information systems for Supply Chain Management, Industrial
Logistics, Production Systems Design and Automation. In these areas he published 7 books
and over 90 articles on international journals and conference proceedings and participated
to a high number of international and national research projects.
